Washington Hand Therapy specializes in Hand Therapy - the physical rehabilitation for the upper extremity including the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.

 

History

Our practice founded in 2003 by Rozanni Senanayake, MS, OTR/L, CHT, with a hand therapy clinic at the medical center building in Woodinville. Our Kirkland facility was started in August of 2009. In March of 2011, we opened up our third clinic in Bellevue.

We have grown from a staff of one therapist in 2003 to eight hand therapy specialists in 2013. Our team comprises of both Physical and Occupational therapists who are ALL board certified hand therapists.

 

Connie

Connie Ballou, MS, OTR/L, CHT graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 1981. She received her Master of Arts degree in Management & Administration in Occupational Therapy from Texas Women's University in 1991. Connie has been practicing hand therapy since 1985 and completed her Certified Hand Therapist credentialing in 1991. She specializes in treating traumatic hand injuries with skills developed in all areas of hand therapy. Read more...

Hilary Noe, OTR/L, CHT graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 1995. She began the first years of her career working in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation and subsequently became credentialed as a Certified Hand Therapist. Her areas of special interest include treatment of upper extremity injuries, wrist fractures, arthritis management and custom splint fabrication. Read more...

Kathy

Kathy Nielsen, OTR/L, CHT received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1995. Kathy has spent her career in outpatient rehabilitation specializing in the treatment of the hand, wrist, and elbow. Her areas of special interest include fractures, cumulative trauma, tendon repairs, splinting, and proper ergonomic practices. Read more...

Rozanni Senanayake, OTD, MS, OTR/L, CHT completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Oregon State University in 1991 and her Master's in Occupational Therapy at the University of Puget Sound in 1994. She went on to become credentialed as a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and as a Certified Hand Therapist. Rozanni's expertise lies in treating cumulative and traumatic hand injuries and fabricating custom molded splints. Being a strong advocate for good ergonomic practices, she conducts ergonomic evaluations and implements activity modifications to prevent work-related injuries. Read more...

Mukti

Mukti Godbole, OTR/L, CHT received her BS in Occupational Therapy in 1994 from Lokamanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, University of Bombay, and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2011. Her clinical experience includes treating upper extremity conditions, post-surgical and acute care hand therapy patients, epicondylitis, carpal tunnel, and custom splinting. In recent years, Mukti has worked alongside several surgeons, treating post-surgical patients. Read more...

Kristin Rosen, OTR/L, CHT received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Washington in 1996. She obtained her CHT in November of 2006. Previously, she worked for a large orthopedic group with two hand surgeons and 17 additional orthopedic surgeons. Her patient population includes pediatrics, adolescence, adults and geriatrics. Her areas of special interest include fractures, tendon repairs, nerve compressions, trauma, cumulative trauma disorders, sprains/strains/dislocations, arthritis, dupuytrens, CRPS, stiff hand, and all varieties of upper extremity post-surgical cases. Joanne Haberman, OTR/L, CHT graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1991. She became a Certified Hand Therapist in 1997. Joanne has spent her career working in a variety of clinical settings over the past 12 years. Her areas of special interest include tendon repairs and post surgical care. Read more...

Laurie Odland PT, CHT graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. After years of specializing in inpatient rehabilitation, orthopedics and sports medicine, she decided to specialize in the rehabilitation of the upper extremity. She has worked with Southwest and Highline Hand Therapy since 1996. She became certified in Hand Therapy in 2000. Read more...
