Connie Ballou, MS, OTR/L, CHT

Connie was one of the lucky few that knew exactly what she wanted to do at an early age. She pursued a degree in Occupational Therapy and graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1981. She received a Master’s degree in Management & Administration from TWU in 1991. Connie has been practicing hand therapy since 1985 and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 1991. Continuing education courses and teaching are all part of her desire to use her knowledge and keep her skills on the cutting edge.

With a special interest in treating traumatic hand injuries, her love of science and the arts are combined in her holistic treatment approach to assist in recovery from traumatic injury. She is also skilled in the treatment of diagnoses including, but not limited to: Fractures, Tendon Repairs and Tendon Related Injuries, Dupuytren’s, Mallet fingers, and more. She has a true passion and skill for custom Splinting. She also finds athletes a joy to work with, and her interest in sports related treatment continues to grow. When she is not at work, she spends her time volunteering, in her garden, on her bike or the tennis courts.
